This No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Lasagna is one of my favorite desserts when I want something rich, creamy, and chocolatey without turning on the oven. I layer a crunchy Oreo cookie crust with a smooth peanut butter and cream cheese filling, thick chocolate pudding, and fluffy whipped topping. After a few hours in the refrigerator, every layer sets into a cool, indulgent dessert that I love serving at parties, family gatherings, and summer celebrations.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Lasagna

Ingredients

(Tip: You'll find the full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below.)

Oreo cookie crumbs

Melted butter

Cream cheese, softened

Powdered sugar

Creamy peanut butter

Vanilla extract

Whipped topping

Instant chocolate pudding mix

Cold milk

Mini chocolate chips

Chocolate syrup, optional

Directions

I start by combining the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter until all the crumbs are evenly coated. I press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a baking dish to create an even crust.

In a separate mixing bowl, I beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, creamy peanut butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy.

I gently fold half of the whipped topping into the peanut butter mixture. Once combined, I spread the filling evenly over the Oreo crust, taking care not to disturb the crust underneath.

In another bowl, I whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until it begins to thicken. I let the pudding rest for a few minutes so it develops a thick, spreadable consistency.

I carefully spoon the chocolate pudding over the peanut butter layer and spread it into an even layer.

I add the remaining whipped topping over the pudding and gently smooth it across the surface.

I finish the dessert by sprinkling mini chocolate chips over the top. When I want a little extra chocolate flavor and a more decorative finish, I also drizzle chocolate syrup over it.

I refrigerate the chocolate lasagna for at least 4 hours before slicing. I find that a longer chilling time makes the layers easier to cut and serve.

Servings and Timing

This recipe makes approximately 12 servings, so I find it ideal for sharing at parties, potlucks, holidays, and family dinners.

Variations

I sometimes replace the regular Oreo cookies with peanut butter-flavored or another chocolate sandwich cookie to change the flavor of the crust.

For even more peanut butter flavor, I like adding chopped peanut butter cups between the layers or scattering them over the top instead of mini chocolate chips.

When I want additional texture, I sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts over the whipped topping. The crunch works especially well against the soft pudding and creamy filling.

I can also change the pudding flavor. Vanilla, cheesecake, or white chocolate pudding creates a different dessert while keeping the same easy layered preparation.

For an extra chocolatey version, I add chocolate curls, crushed Oreo cookies, or a generous chocolate syrup drizzle just before serving.

Storage/Reheating

I store leftover peanut butter chocolate lasagna covered tightly in the refrigerator. It keeps well for about 3 to 4 days, although I prefer the texture during the first couple of days because the Oreo crust gradually becomes softer.

I don't reheat this dessert because it is meant to be served chilled. I take it directly from the refrigerator when I'm ready to serve it.

For longer storage, I can freeze individual portions in airtight containers. I let frozen pieces thaw in the refrigerator before serving. The texture of the whipped topping and pudding may become slightly softer after freezing and thawing, but the dessert still tastes delicious.

FAQs

Can I make No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Lasagna ahead of time?

Yes. I actually prefer preparing it ahead because the dessert needs several hours to set properly. I can make it the night before, cover it, and keep it refrigerated until I'm ready to serve.

How long does this dessert need to chill?

I chill the dessert for at least 4 hours. If I have enough time, I leave it in the refrigerator overnight because the longer chilling period helps the layers become firmer and makes cleaner slices easier to achieve.

Can I use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy peanut butter?

Yes, I can use crunchy peanut butter when I want extra texture. I usually choose creamy peanut butter because it creates the smoothest filling, but crunchy peanut butter works when I want small pieces of peanuts throughout the layer.

Why is my chocolate pudding layer too soft?

I make sure I use instant pudding mix and cold milk, then whisk until the mixture noticeably thickens. I also avoid assembling the dessert before the pudding has had a few minutes to set. Giving the completed dessert its full refrigeration time helps the pudding become firmer as well.

Can I freeze peanut butter chocolate lasagna?

Yes. I can freeze the dessert, preferably in individual portions in airtight containers. When I want to serve it, I transfer the portions to the refrigerator and let them thaw gradually. I keep in mind that freezing can slightly change the texture of the whipped topping and pudding.

Conclusion

No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Lasagna combines several of my favorite dessert flavors and textures in one easy recipe. I get a crunchy Oreo base, rich peanut butter cheesecake-style filling, creamy chocolate pudding, and a light whipped topping in every slice.

I especially love that I can prepare the entire dessert without an oven and make it well ahead of serving time. Whether I'm preparing a summer dessert, bringing something sweet to a party, or simply craving the classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate, this layered dessert is an easy recipe I can return to again and again.

Vanilla, cheesecake, or white chocolate instant pudding can replace the chocolate pudding for a different flavor.

For the cleanest slices, chill the dessert overnight before serving.
